Banchory Strathspey & Reel Society welcomes fiddle and accordion players of all ages. There is no membership fee to join the Society but we ask that attendees make a voluntary contribution of £1 to our funds each week. Players are expected to play at concerts and at local venues from time to time.

The Society practices on Thursday evenings in the Royal British Legion on Ramsay Road in Banchory (AB31 5TS) during school term time. There are currently two different groups:

Juniors 7pm – 7.45pm
For all school age children, Adult beginners or Adults re-familiarising themselves with the fiddle and Scottish Traditional Music.

Intermediates and Seniors 7.45pm – 9.00pm
Open to all members, this group plays tunes chosen by the members and if a concert or competition is in the offing, then we will works on those sets to get them ready for the performance.

The Junior and Senior music sets are available to download using the links at the top of the page.
